For over 30 years, William "Bill" Amann has been committed to the principles of sustainability and resiliency. In that time, he has built M&E Engineers into one of the most respected and recognized MEP engineering firms in the Mid-Atlantic region, offering energy and sustainability consulting in Somerville, NJ. The firm’s portfolio of Fortune 100 and government projects is a testament to his dedication to and promotion of innovative, sustainable, resilient, and energy efficient building solutions.

In addition to being a prolific educator and speaker on sustainability, energy efficiency, and healthy buildings, Bill has been extremely active in his dedication to making New Jersey a more energy efficient state. He is the former Chairman of the New Jersey chapter of the US Green Building Council and is the current Chairman of the Somerset County Energy Council.

In 2015, Bill was named as a LEED Fellow by GBCI, the certification branch of the US Green Building Council. This is the most prestigious designation awarded by the international organization and is given in recognition of significant achievement in the green building, energy efficiency, and sustainability community. Bill is the only Professional Engineer in NJ to achieve this honor.
