NJTA STATE POLICE BARRACKS
NEWARK, BLOOMFIELD, GALLOWAY & MOORESTOWN, NJ
The New Jersey Turnpike Authority replaced four state police facilities built to LEED standards.
The buildings were designed as prototypical facilities, but were flexible so that they may be adapted to each site location.
M&E evaluated a variety of HVAC approaches and implemented the Commissioning Process for the energy commissioning systems.
The mechanical systems included two basement air handlers with energy recovery, five packaged rooftop units (two with energy recovery), a gas-fired condensing boiler, and air distributed through a combination of variable-air-volume (VAV) boxes and constant volume systems.
