MORRISTOWN PUBLIC LIBRARY
EXPANSION & RENOVATION
M&E worked with renowned HMR Architects on the expansion and renovation of the Collegiate Gothic and Neo Classical library at the Morristown & Morris Township Library.
The existing library suffered from cramped spaces, fractured floor plan, and poor lighting. The project was challenging due to limited floor to floor heights established by the contiguous historic, federal style building.
The historic archives have precision controlled environmental systems and gaseous fire suppression; and the new building areas are equipped with an energy management system.
The project was awarded an AIA-NJ Merit Award.
M&E Engineers provided all MEP and fire protection design.
